Daniel Norgren’s ‘Let Love Run the Game’ is KEPX’s Song of the Day

Swedish singer-songwriter Daniel Norgren is dropping his eighth studio album, Wooh Dang, on April 19. Our Song of the Day is the foot-stomping Americana track “Let Love Run the Game.” When KEXP premiered the track, Norgren told us a bit about how the songs on the new record came together:

I’ve written the songs on Wooh Dang in the woods where I walk. I need nature to function – always been a country boy – and when I say I’ve written the songs in the woods I mean, I’ve written all the songs on a trail in the woods… haven’t added a single word outside that one trail. Songs usually come naturally out there.

Wooh Dang follows 2015’s The Green Stone. Norgren has, so far, announced spring/summer tour dates in Europe and the UK, with the promise of returning to the States in the fall (US dates not yet announced). Below, watch the joyful video for “Let Love Run the Game,” comprised of tour footage.
